My name is Sarah Marsh, and I’m a board certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC) with 8  years of experience working as a Hospitalist as well as an emergency department nurse practitioner.  

I have 20 years experience in both hospital and ER settings, first as a CNA, then RN and ultimately a nurse practitioner.

I was born and raised in Stephenson County & look forward to continuing to serve our wonderful community! 

I am a fulltime mom, wife, and ER nurse practitioner. 

In my free time, I enjoy anything outdoors & being active with my family and traveling to natural spaces and those void of cellular signal.

I enjoy physical challenges and have done many triathlons, half marathons, a 70.3 Ironman & have competed in a bodybuilding show.

I love home design and remodeling (transforming any space), fast cars, speed and driving manual transmission. 

My personal motto is - give it all you’ve got, every single second, and pour your heart into everything you do.

I’m a Freeport native, born and raised, and I’m so excited to be serving my home community in this new role.  I’ve been an ER nurse for the past six years and was fortunate to spend part of that time travel nursing—meeting incredible people across the country, learning diverse approaches to care, and growing both professionally and personally. 

Working in the ER has given me the privilege of caring for patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, which only deepened my passion for health and wellness. I truly believe in the “we only get one body” mindset.  I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel their absolute best—inside and out. Outside of the hospital, I share that passion by teaching Pilates at a local studio.

When I’m not in the ER or on the reformer, you’ll usually find me:

-Checking out a local coffee spot.

-Snuggling a fur baby
-Binging a new series
